SpeedLink Xanthos Stereo Console Gaming Headset Unleashed for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC

A ‘universal sound solution’ is what SpeedLink is hailing its Xanthos stereo console gaming headset to be. This peripheral sports atmospheric LED lighting and allows gamers to voice-chat with teammates. The ‘sophisticated’ connector technology of the SpeedLink Xanthos stereo console gaming headset lets users to simultaneously play-back gaming sound on the headset as well as on the TV speakers.

Compatible with consoles and PC alike, this headset is equipped with a three-meter cable to make it easier for users to sit back and enjoy their games. Additionally, this peripheral also bears padded earcups which are apparently designed to provide gamers with ‘maximum’ comfort. For voice-chat, users can make use of the fold-away microphone that is lodged on this device.

The headset has also been endowed with an in-line remote for volume adjustment and microphone muting. Although it is designed for gaming, this peripheral can also be used to enjoy other content like movies and TV. It was at this year’s gamescom that SpeedLink had first announced the Xanthos stereo console gaming headset along with other accessories like the Xeox Wireless gamepad, the Strike FX-6 controller and the Quaddock all-in-1 charging system.

The Xeox Wireless gamepad which looks like an Xbox 360 controller is actually meant for PS3 users. Strike FX-6 controller, on the other hand, is intended for the PS3 but the device connects to the console via Bluetooth. Furthermore, the Quaddock all-in-1 charging system is capable of recharging the batteries of PS3 controllers as well as the PS Move controllers.

Gamers can now purchase the new SpeedLink Xanthos stereo console gaming headset at a price of 49.99 Euros (approx Rs. 3,318).
