Speedlink has unveiled a range of console and PC gaming accessories which include the Xeox Wireless gamepad, a Strike FX-6 controller, the Quaddock all-in-1 charging system and the Xanthos Stereo console gaming headset. These products which are currently being showcased at gamescom are expected to start arriving in markets from the end of August.
The Xeox Wireless gamepad is designed for those who refuse to part with their Xbox 360 controller, even while playing on the PS3. The controller kicks in the same layout as that on the Xbox 360 controller while also adding a turbo function for controlled rapid-firing. It works on the PS3 owing to its 2.4GHz wireless technology.
The Strike FX-6 controller looks somewhat similar the Dualshock 3 controller. A big difference however, is that this device works with the PS3 via Bluetooth. A Li-Polymer battery is also packed into this controller. The battery apparently offers up to 12 hours of play time and can be charged using the consoles USB ports.
Another new accessory from Speedlink is the Quaddock all-in-1 charging system which is capable of recharging the batteries of PS3 controllers as well as the PS Move controllers. It bears four ports – two for gamepads and two for Move accessories. Its AC adapter uses a 230V outlet to operate.
The Xanthos Stereo console gaming headset is equipped with padded earcups and a three-meter cable. It can be used with the PS3, the Xbox 360 or PC. This peripheral is also fitted with a mic and carries an inline remote for volume adjustments.
All the Speedlink Console and PC accessories are currently being showcased at the gamescom in Germany. The Xeox Wireless gamepad and the Strike FX-6 controller are expected to hit markets this October at prices of 34.99 Euros (approx Rs. 2,280) and 39.99 Euros (approx Rs. 2,606) respectively. The Quaddock all-in-1 Charging System will be made available by the end of August for 29.99 Euros (approx Rs. 1,954) while the Xanthos Stereo console gaming headset will launch in September for 49.99 Euros (approx Rs. 3,258).
