Roccat Isku Illuminated Gaming Keyboard Talks to the Kone[+] Mouse

Just as usual, Roccat is doing what they do best and dipping into the gaming circle with a fresh new peripheral. In this case, it’s the Roccat Isku illuminated gaming keyboard that’s been offered for consideration.

The highlight is the device’s Roccat Talk protocol which permits the Kone[+] mouse and the Isku to communicate with each other. Add to that Easy Shift[+] technology extending 36 customizable macros carefully placed in three locations within the WASD zone. The peripheral happens to be the third in-house developed keyboard after the Valo and Arvo.

The layout comprises of 123 medium height keys and 6 adjustable levels of brightness. A Light Timer feature allows the eco-conscious amongst gamers to tweak energy-savings settings optimally. Integrated within the design is a granular wrist rest as well as 3 freely-configurable Thumbster keys which can be allotted individual functions.

Users get to save up to 5 preferred configurations and link them to different games or apps. This enables button configurations, lighting preference, DPI settings and more to be loaded automatically when the concerned application is launched. To top that off, Roccat Voice alerts players to every profile change owing to special Sound Feedback intelligence.

8 configurable media keys align the top of the Isku for convenient access to 25 functions. It also embeds 12 programmable F-keys for a wider range of customization alternatives. And Roccat’s concerned about the mess made by peripheral cables too. Hence, channels have been carved into the underside of the keyboard to deliver simplified desktop cable management.
