It’s been quite a while since MSI announced anything, the last product being the R5770 Hawk graphics card. Now MSI has launched a 16 inch entertainment notebook in its G series, called the GE600. The new model uses an Intel Core i5 processor with a built-in ATI Radeon HD5730 discrete graphics card as well as SRS Premium Sound audio..
Sam Chern, MSI Notebook Marketing Director said that MSI’s 16 inch entertainment model was born to provide the most advanced software and hardware devices with top-notch audio, video playback, entertainment, as well as an HD webcam.
As most of its laptop PCs come, the MSI GE600 features MSI-exclusive Color Film Print with a gradient of deep black to light gold. Apart from aesthetics, the MSI GE600 has hotkeys for multimedia, exclusive GPU Boost, Cinema Pro, and more. The notebook comes with an ATI Radeon HD 5730 discrete graphics card with 1 GB DDR3 display memory and support for DirectX11. This allows for a very immersive multimedia or gaming experience.
The device has an Intel Core i5 processor with low power consumption and higher performance. It utilizes Intel’s Turbo Boost and Hyper-Threading technology to drastically adjust the processor efficiency and handle more data at once. Apart from the two cinema speakers, the GE600 has an extra sub-woofer at the bottom, as well as SRS Premium Sound audio with 7.1 channel output.
The MSI GE600 comes with a host of other features such as the Eco Engine Power Saving Technology, and Cinema Pro Technology. The price of this new gadget hasn’t been revealed.
