After releasing gaming peripherals for the PS3 as well as the PC and the Xbox 360, Nyko Technologies has now decided to target one more lucrative market, that of Wii gamers. Nyko has now announced two new products for Nintendo’s next generation console. One is Perfect Shot for shooter games and the other is Net Connect for connecting to the Internet.
The Perfect Shot by Nyko offers tactile control and accuracy to Wii gamers when they are playing games belonging to the blaster or the shooting genre. The peripheral holds the Wii remote with a secure locking system. This enables gamers to hit the remote’s B button using a tactile trigger mechanism. Also, there will be less strain in the arm and hand as the Perfect Shot has been designed to be lightweight and ergonomic. It can be used to attach the Nunchuck or Classic Controller. The gaming peripheral can be used with other peripherals by making use of the pass-through port.
As for the Net Connect, it offers the gamers using the Nintendo Wii, a user-friendly method to connect their consoles to a non-wireless Internet connection. It does not have any complex setup codes or installation software and requires a Cat5 Ethernet cable and an existing Internet connection. Wii gamers will just have to plug the Net Connect to one of Wii’s USB ports as well as attach the device to their home network to get their console online. This Nyko accessory will allow gamers to make use of Wii’s exceptional online offerings such as the Opera Browser, WiiConnect24, Mii Parade, and all other online gameplay features for Wii video games.

Nyko has stated that Perfect Shot and Net Connect for Nintendo Wii will be out in early December 2007 and will be available at retailers as well as on Nyko’s online store. Perfect Shot will cost $14.99 (approx. Rs. 595) while Net Connect would come with a price tag of $24.99 (approx. Rs. 995).
