Game Informer (GI) has revealed that a new Black Xbox 360 with a 120 GB HDD could be on its way next month. GI has also stated that the article, which is published in the April issue, is not rumor based.
Anyway, the Black Xbox 360 would be priced at $480 (approx. Rs. 22,000), but the 120GB hard drive will also be sold separately for under $200 (approx. Rs. 8900). So existing Xbox 360 owners will be able to upgrade to a larger hard disk drive.
Nevertheless, the new Xbox 360 will not support a next-generation video format and that is bad as PS3 does support the Blu-ray disk formats. The Black Xbox 360 will be cooler than the existing the console, but there is no confirmation whether it will have the new 65nm chips.
The new Black Xbox 360 is reportedly called as “Elite” and there is a possibility that Microsoft could soon come out with an announcement regarding it.
