Pokemon Go to get Raids co-op feature soon?

After celebrating 65 million monthly active users recently, Niantic is getting ready to treat Pokemon Go fans to several exciting updates, by the sound of it. As far as the official word is concerned, players can look forward to new cooperative social gameplay – a nice change from the single player experience so far.

Of course, enthusiasts weren’t going to be satisfied with a small hint such as that. So some indefatigable folks have been digging around for further clues and have published a few interesting details on The Silph Road forum on Reddit. For starters, the game may have a revamped notifications system.

But the highlight of the leak is a mention about ‘raids.’ Tied in with Niantic’s official admission of co-op gameplay headed to Pokemon Go, it seems like Raids might be it. The program code uncovers proof that players will be alerted to nearby raids. Going by the very definition of a raid, it could hardly be a single player experience within the game.
