ZeptoLab has proved its brilliance through its past titles, and with its latest offering dubbed Cut the Rope: Time Travel, it looks to continue this achievement even further. This new game from the much revered mobile-based series gives the little green monster the ability to travel back in time, and feed his much craved for candy to his ancestors. It can be downloaded now for Android as well as iOS devices through their respective content delivery portals.

Cut the Rope: Time Travel

We get to start off with a set of 6 level packs that grant a total of 90 levels for gamers to complete and try to grab stars in. An important alteration within this new title is that, unlike the other games from the series, you have not one but two monsters to feed; one being Om Nom himself, and the other one, his ancestor. The developer, through its description has however assured that despite this change, it is still ‘familiar to play’ for seasoned fans. For those who enjoy this type of puzzle game and are looking for more, there are several games like Cut the Rope that offer similar challenges and fun.

Time-travelling involves the main character visiting six distinct locations from the past, each with its own different set of puzzle mechanics. Apart from meeting his ancestors during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance period, he also gets a chance to visit a Pirate Ship, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece and the Stone Age. And if the developer’s practice with its past titles is to be looked at, we can definitely expect fresh locations to popup in the form of downloadable updates.

The series came into being when its eponymous game was first launched by ZeptoLab in 2010 on Apple devices. It revolves around a creature named Om Nom who constantly needs to be fed with candy. Gamers need to cut ropes in certain patterns and also make use of other tools in order to achieve this task. Following the success of the initial offerings, its first main sequel was released by the developer in 2011. Suffixed with the title Experiments, this game has a professor trying to study Om Nom’s behavior by means of a series of experiments.
