Fans of the avian-flinging extravaganza that’s Angry Birds might want to have a look its developer Rovio’s next title – Amazing Alex. Just like Angry Birds, this game too falls under the physics puzzler category, and it has been confirmed by the Finnish studio that it will be out on iOS and Android devices this July.
As the name suggests, this title revolves around the exploits of Alex, who has a vivid imagination and a ‘houseful’ of toys. Gamers will be required to make use of objects and have them bounce, pop, ricochet, bash and crash into each other in order to generate Rube Goldberg devices. These are complex gadgets that perform simple tasks in indirect ways.
“Meet Amazing Alex, star of Rovio’s newest game! This whiz kid has a boundless imagination and a houseful of fun toys that can turn anything into a great adventure! From cleaning up his room to playing in his backyard, Alex creates amazing chain reactions to get the job done with the maximum amount of fun,” reads a post on Rovio’s official blog.
Four different locations have been revealed to form part of the game initially, whereas a hundred levels will be available to jump into at launch. This title will also kick a creation tool that will enable players to design their own levels by utilizing 35 interactive objects and share them online for others to play.
Amazing Alex does not have a release date slapped on it as yet, but fans can expect this game to launch anytime in July for iOS and Android devices.
