JAM Live Music Arcade Scheduled for a May 16 Release on XBL, PSN

From developing peripherals to musical instruments to entertainment software, the guys over at Zivix make good enough suspects for the creation of the JAM Live Music Arcade which is all set to go live starting May 16, 2012. The sandbox game recently made its appearance at SXSW and the PAX East show.

JAM Live Music Arcade

According to the maker of this title, it’s a completely new approach to the music genre which allows players to make improvisations, jam tracks and much more to deliver a ‘deeper connection to the music.’ With 2 game modes at their disposal, console owners should be able to build and customize their own tunes through instruments including drums, bass, guitars and keyboards as well as the addition of vocals, in the Jam selection. Bringing in a ‘follow the leader’ type of gameplay, the Arcade mode allows players to achieve high scores, earn medals and achievements.

Besides being compatible with various guitar controllers, the title packs in 32 songs from top genres and artists including Modest Mouse, Fallout Boy, Fatboy Slim, Owl City, Rise Against and Atmosphere. Downloadable music is also scheduled to arrive soon. The game in question will find itself placed amongst a number of offerings such as Dungeon Defenders, the upcoming Sanctum 2, and Primal Carnage, Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad, Black Knight Sword and many more from Reverb Publishing.
