Namco Bandai Games has announced the launch of a new app named Namco Arcade, which can now be downloaded by gamers on their iPhone, iPod touch and iPad devices for free. Four titles are available to play in this app currently, but more games have been confirmed by the company to be ready for release in the future.
The playing model adopted by these games entitles users to jump into just one free game, once in a day. If they wish to play a title again or try their hand at another game, they would have to shell out money to purchase Play Coins from within the app. This way, players can choose one title and play for free once per day, or buy Play Coins to continue enjoying their favorite games.
This app also kicks in online rankings for gamers to compete with others from around the globe. Furthermore, the competition titles will keep changing every week, allowing players to master both games they know, while also trying new titles. They can even upload their play data online, so that others from around the world can see their skills as well as find new tricks and strategies for themselves.
Xevious, The Tower of Druaga, Motos and Phozon are the four games that make their way into this app. The color, transparency, auto-fire function and controller arrangement for each of these titles can be freely customized. Moreover, gamers can even select the setting for the virtual stick to be either analog or digital.
The Namco Arcade app can be downloaded for free currently on the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.
