60beat GamePad Controller Outed for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch

Those wishing to add a little extra to their mobile gaming experience can have a look at the new 60beat GamePad controller which has been released for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. This gadget connects to the iOS devices through their headphone jacks, using the standard 3.5 mm audio connector.

It has been equipped with dual analog joysticks and also holds a D-Pad. A total of ten action buttons make their way onto this device, including two keys that are present on the joysticks. Said to be designed ergonomically for advanced comfort and control, this controller is compatible with all 60beat GamePad supported games.

Gamers need not worry about the battery life of this device, as it works without any batteries. In addition, it will come bundled with an audio splitter as well as a 4-ft. cable that will connect the GamePad to the headphone jack of an iOS device. Only two games from the App Store are compatible with this controller currently, but more such titles are expected to be added in February 2012.

Bugdom 2

First among the two is Bugdom 2 which is a 3D action-adventure game meant for both the iPhone and the iPad. Players will be required to assume the role of a grasshopper named Skip McFly as he travels around locations inside and around a house. It can be purchased now for 2.99 USD (approx. Rs. 158).

Aftermath

Aftermath is another game which is compatible with this controller. Taking place in an infested city, this title asks gamers to use their flashlights, guns and grenades so as to survive the night. It retails now on the App Store at a price of 1.99 USD (approx. Rs. 105).

The 60beat GamePad controller can now be purchased by gamers around the world at a price of 49.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,645).
