F1 2011 Races on to Stores Shelves in U.K. for Nintendo 3DS

What is said to be the first time that a Formula One game is being rendered in full 3D, was released in the form of F1 2011 for the Nintendo 3DS recently. A new gameplay trailer for this title, which can be viewed below has also been released by Codemasters to mark the it’s launch.

This game tenders players with a variety of modes, some of which can even be tailored according to their preferences. First of all, there’s the career mode which involves gamers battling it out to become the FIA Formula One Drivers’ World Champion. Furthermore, those who wish to participate in single races can jump into an individual Grand Prix, enter the Time Trial mode or compete in the new Challenge mode which is claimed by the developer to be perfect for portable racing.

This 3DS title also holds in it, a number of multiplayer modes. The Grand Prix or Time Trial modes can be used by up to four players at once to take part in head-to-head races. Moreover, gamers can also team up with their friends to compete in the co-op career mode. Both solo and multiplayer modes can be customized according to players’ likings by customizing race distances, tuning cars, selecting tires, fuel, weather options and more.

Developed by Sumo Digital for Codemasters, this title acts as a port to the original game released for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in September this year. A PS Vita version of the game is also lined up for release in February next year.

F1 2011 can now be purchased in the U.K. for the Nintendo 3DS at a price of 28.97 GBP (approx. Rs. 2,339).
