BlizzCon 2010 Gaming Convention Announced by Blizzard Entertainment

Ardent gamers have probably been keeping tabs on BlizzCon since it was first convened. There seems to be no need to remind them that the BlizzCon 2010 gaming convention which will be held in Anaheim, California as announced by Blizzard Entertainment is the fifth BlizzCon to be organized since 2005.

The event is touted to be a celebration of the global communities surrounding the company’s Starcraft, Warcraft and Diablo game universes. Attendees will get an opportunity to play upcoming Blizzard Entertainment titles and participate in discussion panels with the company’s developers. They will also be able to participate in contests, contend in casual and competitive tournaments and avail of commemorative merchandise themed around the aforesaid game universes.

“BlizzCon offers us a great opportunity to meet with our players and share our enthusiasm for gaming with one of the most passionate communities in the world,” trilled Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment while commenting on the BlizzCon 2010. “We’re looking forward to providing another great show filled with entertainment, competition, and the latest information about Blizzard Entertainment games.”

The previously held BlizzCon witnessed the unveiling of Diablo III, the first ever public hands-on of Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty and the announcement of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm apart from an Ozzy Osbourne concert. Blizzard Entertainment is scheduled to hold the event on October 22 and October 23, 2010 in Anaheim, California.
