In addition to this, the ability to use surround sound voice and communication provides gamers with a competitive edge.”

The Dolby Axon software developer kit brings to the game new innovative features. These include a realistic voice communication with distance attenuation and surround panning. Game developers have also untapped a superior occlusion engine which maps voices to the environment as well as Voice fonts, proprietary audio technologies and flexible API. Players can also take advantage of the improved audio chain processing as well as surround sound voice chat over stereo speakers, stereo headsets and 5.1 playback systems.
