Shogun 2: Total War, Tournament of Legends and More from Sega at E3

A little while earlier we had revealed a few Sega titles that would be featured at the E3 this year. The official Sega blog further reveals that besides a few surprises in store for gamers, the company has dished out some more titles that can be expected at E3. These include Shogun 2: Total War, Tournament of Legends, Phantasy Star Portable 2 and Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode I.

Tournament of Legends

Shogun 2: Total War is a new strategy game fashioned for the PC. The events take place in Medieval Japan during the 16th century where gamers adorn the role of Daimyo, the clan leader. The aim of the title is to become the new Shogun, ruler of Japan by reuniting the country under one ruler. This can be done by utilizing economics, diplomacy and military engagements. Through the game, players will be able to experience the golden age of Samurai warfare which is often referred to as the most turbulent period of Japanese history.

The magic based 3D title Tournament of Legends includes epic battles taking place in various fighting arenas. This Wii-exclusive game lets players do battle with mythical blade weapons and 40 magic attacks. They can face up against giant mythological creatures that are protecting the battle lairs. Gamers can indulge in one or two-player fights as they adorn the roles of different characters and wield dangerous weapons-based magic attacks. These include Jupiter’s Storm, a nest of venomous snakes, Thor’s Fury and a man-eating lion.

The Phantasy Star series is all set to get a new addition fashioned for the PSP system. The title takes place three years after the Phantasy Star Universe saga and come packed with brand new content. Gamers can take on the role of a mercenary in order to save the Gurhal system. New inclusions are also noted to be packed into the game. These can be espied in the form of combat moves, character customization options and weapons. The adventure is further heightened by employing online play via Infrastructure mode and better social interactivity.

Besides Sonic Colors, the blue hedgehog is set to make another appearance at E3. Fans of the series can expect Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode I to unfurl at the event filled with better gameplay elements such as Homing Attack and Sonic Spin Dash. The game follows closely on the heels of Sonic and Knuckles where we see Eggman crushed. Furious at his defeat and destruction of the Death Egg in the last iteration, the evil doctor plans to unleash his most ingenious scheme. He revisits and enhances the best of his creations.

As the blog suggests, these Sega games and more surprises will be shown at E3 this year which is scheduled to begin on June 14, 2010.
