Genetically engineered bacteria formulates BioMario

Mario is a fictional video game character fashioned by Shigeru Miyamoto. The beloved Nintendo character has been featured in more than 200 games. We now see this pudgy Italian plumber jumping from TV screens and gaming consoles to being a scientific-oriented subject.

Mario is now recreated in genetically engineered bacteria to form BioMario. According to NewScientist, the new appearance of this classic NES character is formulated in the nanobiology laborities at the University of Osaka which is situated in Japan.

The Mario offering is just one of the many genetically engineered bacteria offering. The team has come out with a whole series of interesting microbal art. These are created in a Petri dish and are caused by altering pigments and proteins.
