The series’ project director Casey Hudson revealed at a recent press event that the developing team did undergo some challenges while perfecting the upcoming title especially a system for carrying over saves from the first Mass Effect installment. After making this statement he said, “We’re looking forward to it (Mass Effect 3) and it should be more fun for us.”

Hudson further commented, “Mass Effect 3 will be easier because we don’t have to worry about continuity into the next one.” This news may come as a bit of a shock for fans of Mass Effect. It seems like there won’t be any more iterations after the Shepard trilogy.

Mass Effect 2 is expected to unveil in January 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PC platforms. No word on the pricing and availability as yet.
