DK has announced that it has formed a partnership with Microsoft and will be publishing a Halo Encyclopedia. This storehouse of knowledge will act as a reference guide to basically everything that can be found in the Halo universe, taken from all the Halo games up to Halo3: ODST. The Halo Encyclopedia is to include information on characters, equipment, vehicles, weapons and locations.
The reference book will be 352 pages long and will feature a foreword by Frank O’Connor, development director of the Halo franchise. Apparently, Microsoft propositioned DK to work on the Halo encyclopedia, after the Comic-Con in San Diego last year, on seeing the company’s reference guides to Star Wars and Marvel Comics. The Halo Encyclopedia marks the first time DK will be involved on a project relating to a game and is set to be published in different languages and in various territories.
So far no price has been announced, but the Halo Encyclopedia is pegged to retail at about 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,990) and is due to be released some time in November this year.
