Video Delivery Service on PSN features Lucasfilm and MLB

The PlayStation Network launched in 2006 and since has been offering gamers all over the globe lots of gaming and digital content. Now PSN teams up with various partners to provide its audiences and sports enthusiasts with loads of downloadable entertainment all available from the PlayStation Store. According to the official PlayStation blog, Lucasfilm and MLB are among the offerings available to players on the PSN Video Store.

A CGI animated TV series released by Lucasfilm Ltd dubbed Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a new addition into the Store. Also included is MLB content which comprises of the current 2009 World Series featuring the likes of the Philadelphia Phillies vs. New York Yankees. Baseball fans can also view a section which consists of classic games.

Loads of movies can also be seen in the Store thanks to the company’s partnership with various companies like ContentFilm International and MPI Media Group. Image Entertainment Inc unveils movies such as Powder Blue, Management, Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead, Gabriel Iglesias: Hot and Fluffy, Jim Gaffigan: Beyond the Pale and Jamie Foxx: I Might Need Security. Other titles include The Hit, The Seamstress, The Hunt, Bridge to Nowhere, Death Toll, Alien Tresspass and The Crew.

Classic films are also brought to the Video Store by MPI Media Group. These include Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Deadgirl, Eaten Alive, Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Magic, Shiver/Eskalofrio and Them/Iis. ContentFilm International gives the PSN movies such as Interstate 60 and Hurly Burly. Other titles from the company include Illuminating Angels & Demons, Night Feeders, Cracking the Da Vinci Code, Devil in the Flesh (aka Teacher’s Pet) and Devil in the Flesh 2.

Finally rounding up the line-up of treats is New Video and Cinetic. New Video comes in with the inclusion of Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog and Gamers while Cinetic offers The Auteur and Leverage. The blog suggests that more titles would be unveiled shortly by the above mentioned partners.
