Last week we had reported that Infinity Ward had indicated that they have no plans for trophy support for Call of Duty 4. But that was COD 4 and now developers Infinity Ward has to move on to other new games and that’s what they are doing as Infinity Ward are working on a new IP.
Robert Bowling is the director of communications at Infinity Ward. Here is an excerpt from his blog post:
- We’re excited to announce that in the recent months we have decided to reup on our contract with Activision publishing. The recently renegotiated deal may not seem like much of an impact from the outside perspective, but it has laid the ground work and kick started our future project, as well as the possibility of a unique new IP by Infinity Ward, that we’ll have complete control over.
A few days ago, it had emerged that Infinity Ward was apparently working on a new sci-fi video game but there was no official confirmation. Robert Bowling also mentioned that they are very excited working on this new project but refused to divulge any details about this project.
