Eden Games Speaks about Alone in the Dark PS3 Delay

Alone in the Dark Fissure A few weeks ago, we had reported that Atari had stated that their forthcoming survival horror game, Alone in the Dark, was delayed for all the platforms. In fact, the PS3 version was postponed even further. Now Nour Polloni from Eden Games has spoken as to why the PS3 version of Alone in the Dark was delayed.

Nour Polloni is the senior producer at Eden Games. He told VideoGamer.com in an interview, “There’s no firm date yet but what we can say is that it’s coming out this year. In terms of why it’s coming out later, we have the full game running on PS3 and all the features, no problem. The thing is it’s not performing as well on PS3 as we hope it is in terms of frame rate and all that. We didn’t want it to come out and have less of an experience for the PS3 gamer. We wanted to tweak that up and make sure they get the best experience on PS3 as much as possible.”

Polloni was also quizzed about the PS3 and whether it was hard to develop games for it. He replied that it is not hard if the game is PS3 specific, but it is harder when the game is multi-platform. Nour Polloni has also made it clear that there will be same content in the Xbox 360 and the PS3 version of Alone in the Dark. The game will also be out on the PS2, Wii and the PC platforms.
