Red Mile Entertainment has announced that they have signed a multi-year, worldwide license deal which will allow them to develop and publish video games that are based on the Sin City series of graphic novels by Frank Miller. The Sin City movie was a cult hit when it was released in 2005.
Frank Miller quoted, “Taking Sin City into the world of video games is very exhilarating, and games offer a completely new way to bring audiences into Sin City. The Red Mile team has impressed me with its dedication to creating Sin City video games that will linger true to Sin City as I’ve always seen it.”
Chester Aldridge, CEO, Red Mile Entertainment says, “Sin City enjoys a broad and devoted following. Its crime noir settings, richly detailed characters, hyper-real action sequences, and engaging stories provide an outstanding groundwork for video games. Red Mile is enthusiastic about working with Frank Miller to create a franchise that is worthy of this great property.”
Frank Miller is also known for his 300 graphic novel, which was made into a blockbuster movie. However, games based on 300 did not do that well. Let’s hope they don’t repeat the mistake for Sin City. Red Mile Entertainment has not released any details regarding the platforms or the launch dates of the Sin City video game. It would be really nice to see a MMO based on Sin City.
