Dolby to Partner Activision for Realistic Surround Sound Experience

Dolby and Activision Logo Activision has gotten in to an agreement with Dolby technologies for providing gamers a rich, realistic surround sound experience. Activision’s audio production facilities in North America will be optimized for Dolby technologies, therefore the video games will have support for Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound.

Our partnership with Dolby is an significant step we are taking to bring the very best game play experiences to gamers around the world.”

Previously Activision has worked with Dolby to optimize surround sound while developing its “Call of Duty 2” for the Xbox 360. Most of the current Activision video games for the Xbox 360 and PS3 feature Dolby Digital 5.1. Activision is known for making video game with stunning graphics, now they will provide better sound to compliment it. “Sounds” cool!
