Capcom’s executive VP Mark Beaumont has dropped a hint that the forthcoming action game, Devil May Cry 4 for the PS3 will release anytime between October and December 2007.
Mark Beaumont said, “Well firstly we’ve got Lost Planet. There is not a ton of competition in the next few weeks so we have a good opportunity to exploit that. We also have Okami for the PS2 that has done very well for us in North America, and we have very high expectations for that in Europe. Then we have a full portfolio of products, everything from PSP to PS2 to DS, culminating in Devil May Cry, which is coming out later in the year, probably in the autumn, which will be our next real triple-A push. Then as we roll into 2008, we will have new versions of existing franchises and new titles that are original IP. We are really starting to ramps things up and become that much more significant in the marketplace.”
Mark Beaumont was recently made the head of consumer software in Europe by Capcom. So PS3 gamers will have to wait till the end of the year to get their hands on Devil May Cry 4. Click here to head to our post on the game, we have also put a few screenshots.
