Everyone’s favorite independent video games publisher Gamecock is planning to hop across the pond to the United Kingdom. Mike Wilson, who is the chief executive officer of Gamecock Media, told Next-Gen that they will be coming up with a small office in the UK.
Mike Wilson said, “We’ll be so much better off having a presence over there and really controlling the marketing, PR and creative… It’s mostly about us trying to give our developers the best deal we can across the PAL territories too. When doing a co-publishing deal, it’s really hard to do that.”
It seems that their base in the UK will let Gamecock publish its developers’ titles in the UK as well as collaborate with distributors for other territories. Wilson mentioned that it was a stage that they never got to do with Gathering. It is a great thing that Gamecock is thinking of the PAL territories. As of now, they must be getting ready to release Auran’s Fury and Renegade Kid’s Dementium in North America.
