Disney has announced that they are renaming their video game business unit, Buena Vista Games to Disney Interactive Studios. This announcement was made at the company’s Investor Conference in Orlando.
Graham Hopper, VP & GM, Disney Interactive Studios said, “This change reflects our focal point on creativity, the weight of Disney content in our portfolio, and the huge value customers see in the Disney brand.”
Disney Interactive Studios will publish both Disney and non-Disney branded video games for all platforms under the company’s huge consumer brands including Disney, ABC and Touchstone. What remains to be seen if they will make video games on all their movies.
