Foo Fighters to Perform at Spike TV’s 2007 Video Game Awards

Foo Fighters Four time Grammy award winning rock band, Foo Fighters are all set to perform at Spike TV’s 2007 Video Game Awards. They will also be performing for the launch of an all new Rock Band video game. Foo Fighters have recently launched their highly anticipated album ‘Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace’. They will be performing in front of top creators and designers of the video game industry and a plethora of the hottest talent in Hollywood. The Video Game Awards will be hosted by Hollywood veteran Samuel L.Jackson.

Foo Fighters have earned a worldwide following, and have scored a number of hit songs, including, This Is a Call, Everlong, Learn To Fly, All My Life, DOA, and The Pretender. To start the party, celebrities will have their music abilities tested, as Spike TV will feature the all-new platform designed for music fans and gamers, MTV Games’ Rock Band on the red carpet. Celebrities are set to show their proficiency in video games in front of their fans. Meanwhile, inside Mandalay Bay Events Center, some of the most popular names of the video game industry will gather to witness mind-blowing world premieres of some of the most anticipated game released to date. Some of the games to be unveiled at the Video Game Awards are Borderlands by 2K, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue by Sony Computer Entertainment America, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 by Ubisoft and TNA iMPACT! by Midway. The viewers will also get a glimpse of the new Halo 3 maps.

A wide range of celebrities, right from actors, sport stars, comedians are all slated to be there. Award presentations will be made by primma donna’s of the acting, music, sports and gaming world, actress Rachel Bilson, actor Hayden Christensen, Kristen Bell, legendary boxing promoter Don King, skateboarder Tony Hawk, Kid Rock, The Simpsons creator Matt Groening, TNA wrestling stars Kurt and Karen Angle, actress Tia Carrere, artist Chingy, Rob & Big’s Rob Dyrdek and Big Boykin, Chuck stars Joshua Gomez and Zachary Levi, former NFL star Rocket Ismail, UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson and Ultimate Fighter 1 champ Forrest Griffin, Mad TV star Bobby Lee, MTV reality couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, NFL quarterback and Heisman trophy winner Matt Leinart, rock star Dave Navarro are just some of the names lined up to present the awards.

Viewers are also in for some serious fun as comedian Ralphie May from the reality television series Last Comic Standing is also set to perform at the Mandalay Bay Events Centre. Spike TV’s Video Game Awards highlights the special characteristics and accomplishments of games, designers, animation, new technology, music and performances of the past year in the games industry.

The awards also provide a peek into the future of gaming which includes exclusive photos and world premiere footage of some of the most eagerly awaited games to be released in the near future.
