A new and exciting title for the Nintendo DS handheld system has just been launched by Square Enix, the makers of the action packed role playing game Kingdom Hearts. It will be released exclusively on the Nintendo DS and will be available across PAL territories in early 2008.

The game was previously known as Subarashiki Kono Sekai when it was released in Japan. The story starts off in the trendiest of districts in Tokyo. The lead character known as Neku wakes up only to discover a phone message that states that he has only 7 days to live. But it has a catch; he can live longer if he completes a certain mission. The game offers the experience of the urban lifestyle of one of the coolest districts of Tokyo.
The World Ends With You is an innovative new title from Square Enix that fully utilizes the capabilities of the Nintendo DS, and takes major influence from Japan’s modern day culture including its people, music, clothes, food and design. Players also get to meet some trendy characters who have a pretty interesting sense of fashion, music and culture. Get involved in the highly innovative combat system that makes optimum use of Nintendo DS’ cool features. Use psychic powers to read other people’s minds, enjoy the wide rage of music genres from hip-hop, rock, and techno.
