Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 leaked for 2018 launch

There have been so many reports and ‘leaks’ about the next Call of Duty game, it’s hard to continue ignoring them based on the fact that we’ve yet to hear an official announcement about it. The next title in the series will apparently be called Black Ops 4 and it may be released in 2018 itself.

What’s more, the upcoming installment might just have an unusual logo. Houston Rockets’ James Harden was spotted heading to the Oklahoma City Thunder game in full camo and a familiar-looking cap. Remember the Black Ops III logo? Instead of the Roman numeral ‘IV,’ the new one has four vertical stripes highly reminiscent of the aforementioned logo.

A couple of days ago, CharlieIntel posted pictures of GameStop listings for Call of Duty Black Ops 4 merchandise, sent by a tipster. None of the goods are in stock right now. But according to the images, they’re expected to arrive this May. Makes sense considering that Activision normally reveals COD games in April or May.

Adding to the speculations, a certain Marcus Sellars has tweeted that Black Ops IIII will arrive on Nintendo Switch, apart from PS4, Xbox and PC. He also claims the title will be more grounded and set in today’s times. Not every COD fan has been welcoming of the futuristic direction the series has been taking lately.
