Battlefield 1 PC requirements announced

Ahead of its much awaited release next month, Battlefield 1’s PC version has just had its requirements outlined. There are no shocks in store here, as both the minimum and recommended specifications are something we had already expected them to be.

However, it is sort of a pleasant surprise that Battlefield 1 will be able to work on Windows 7 as well as Windows 8, so long as they are 64-bit versions. It’s of course recommended by the developers that you use Windows 10 though. Around 50GB of hard drive space will need to be kept aside for this title.

Speaking about the minimum specs, an AMD FX-6350 processor or an Intel Core i5 6600K CPU will suffice, while an AMD Radeon HD 7850 (2GB) graphics card or an Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 (2GB) GPU will be enough. 8GB of RAM will be required to run Battlefield 1.

And coming to the recommended specs which will let you run the game at its full potential, they include an AMD FX 8350 Wraith processor or an Intel Core i7 4790 CPU. An AMD Radeon RX 480 (4GB) graphics card or an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (3GB) GPU is also recommended, apart from 16GB worth of RAM.

Battlefield 1 will take place in a World War 1 setting, and will offer the series’ traditional first-person shooter gameplay that’s coupled with high octane multiplayer elements and vehicular warfare. Its main competition of course remains Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare which will be released on November 4 this year.

As for Battlefield 1, it will be outed for the PS4, the Xbox One and PC on October 21.
