Battlefield 1 indeed set during World War I, here are all the details

Fans of the Battlefield series are elated to know that the newest entry to this popular franchise will be set during World War I. A trailer and a number of details about this upcoming game have been let loose by DICE and EA, along with the fact that it will be released for the PS4, the Xbox One and PC on October 21.

Retro weapons and vehicles will be on offer for you in Battlefield 1. It has been revealed to feature massive battles across land, air and sea. Plus, there will be tanks, planes, machine guns, artillery and a lot more to play around with.

The series’ staple multiplayer matches will also be present in this game, paving way for 64-player battles. A new Persistent Squad System will be introduced via Battlefield 1, which will enable four players to form a squad and enter matchmaking together so that they can stay together for an entire session. So far, the confirmed locations include France, Italy and the Arabian Desert.

Battlefield 1 will be accessible three days prior to its release date if you purchase the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition which will be available for all platforms on October 18 for $79.99 (approx Rs 5320). It will grant you extra vehicles, weapons and emblems including the Red Baron Pack, the Lawrence of Arabia Pack and new visual appearances for three large vehicles.

A Collector’s Edition of Battlefield 1 will also be launched by Electronic Arts, and it will be shipped along with all the benefits of the Deluxe Edition, a 14-inch tall statue, a steel book cover, a cloth poster, a deck of playing cards, a messenger pigeon tube, a patch and more. It will be purchasable at $219.99 (approx Rs 14650).
