Halo 5 is getting the Infection mode soon

Halo 5: Guardians is all set to be blessed with the fan favourite Infection mode soon. This mode will be released alongside an update named Memories of Reach which is scheduled to arrive for the Xbox One game later this year.

Developer 343 Industries made this announcement during a Halo 5: Guardians livestream yesterday, which also saw them detailing the contents of the Ghosts of Meridian update that’s slated to be launched later this month. Moreover, they also released a short teaser for the much loved Infection mode.

For those unaware, it happens to be a zombie-themed multiplayer mode was extremely appreciated in Halo 3 and Reach. Infection has one player don the role of a zombie, going around trying to infect other players.

The developers of Halo 5: Guardians also recently blessed the game with Warzone Firefight and Grifball modes. That being the multiplayer side of things, the single player aspect of this game has been appreciated greatly since it’s out.

Halo 5: Guardians tells the story of two fireteams of human supersoldiers, with the Blue Team led by Master Chief and the Fireteam Osiris led by Spartan Locke. Master Chief’s team suddenly goes absent without leave in order to track down the artificial intelligence construct Cortana, while Spartan Locke’s team is instructed to retrieve them.
