Halo 5: Guardians gets a release date finally

Xbox One owners are currently waiting for Halo 5: Guardians with bated breath, and they’ll be more than delighted to know that the game finally has a release date which they can look forward to. The latest first-person shooter entry to the massive series will be launched for the new Microsoft console on October 27 this year. Its makers have also released a set to of two trailers that go on to give a live action look at the title’s offerings.

Although there’s no new gameplay footage at hand, we can certainly expect to get to see that at E3 this year. The Redmond-based company revealed the news regarding the release date of Halo 5: Guardians through the official Xbox Twitter page. Developed by 343 Industries, this fifth main installment to the extremely popular series will of course feature single-player as well as multiplayer gameplay that can only be enjoyed on the Xbox One console.

The story of Halo 5: Guardians is set on the backdrop of an unexpected attack in the colony worlds. Following this incident, Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 goes missing and is painted as a rogue officer, while Spartan Jameson Locke is given the task to hunt him down. He must now team up with Chief’s old ally, Former Arbiter Thel ‘Vadam to solve the mystery which threatens the entire galaxy. This game was first announced at 2013’s E3 where it was also revealed that it will be able to run at the sweet 60fps frame rate thanks to the technical brilliance of the Xbox One.

Like we said, the release date of Halo 5: Guardians has been marked down for October 27, and it can be pre-ordered now through major retailers from around the world.
