Titanfall 2 confirmed by Respawn for Xbox One, PS4 and PC

The existence of Titanfall 2 has just been acknowledged in an official manner, and it has also been made clear that the new game will be released for the PS4 as well, apart from the Xbox One and PC. Respawn Entertainment boss Vince Zampella has revealed that this sequel to one of the most appreciated first-person shooters of last year will be a multi-platform release. There are no further details available about the title, as we’re guessing it’s in its pretty early stages of development. However, PS4 owners who weren’t able to play its predecessor owing to its Microsoft exclusively can breathe easy at least.

Titanfall

Titanfall 2 has been rumored to be under development in the past as well, but it’s for the first time that we’re hearing something official about it. Lots of people had been disappointed when their hopes about seeing the original game arrive on the PS4 were dashed. However, Zampella has revealed to IGN that this sequel will indeed be a multi-platform one, thus indicating that a PS4 launch is in store. We don’t quite think last-gen consoles like the PS3 and the Xbox 360 will be considered by the developers this time around.

Titanfall was first launched for the Xbox One and PC back in March last year. It was in April that an Xbox 360 version of it was outed by EA. This online multiplayer first-person shooter lets players jump into the shoes of control ‘pilots’ and their mech-style Titan machines who fight in six-on-six matches that are set in war-torn outer space colonies.
