Titanfall to receive day one patch for physical copies

While the digital download version of Titanfall will come infused with it, the day one patch for the game will eat up some time for those who will buy it in physical form. This mandatory patch is 840MB in size, as has been reported by gamers who’ve somehow already managed to get their hands on copies of the upcoming first-person shooter from Respawn Entertainment. One such report comes from Reddit.

Those who wish to buy the game should definitely have a good Internet connection with them since it’s a multiplayer-only title, and hence, an 840MB patch wouldn’t be much of a hindrance. For those in the presence of early copies, the experience isn’t going to be an unpleasant one no matter what source they’ve decided to get Titanfall from.

That’s because Respawn Entertainment’s Vince Zampella has made it clear through his Twitter account that the developers won’t be banning gamers who log in earlier than others. He has however warned they might experience server difficulties due the developers’ preparations for the massive traffic which is expected on launch day.

Titanfall is a multiplayer-focused first-person shooter which is being developed by Respawn Entertainment, a company consisting of former Call of Duty veterans. The game is being published by EA, and apart from gunfights among humans, it also involves the summoning of mechs called Titans.
