Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s pre-loads experiencing issues

Eager gamers who took advantage of the pre-load facility of new-gen consoles so that they could play Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare quickly after it becomes available have been hit by quite a shock. Several reports have claimed that the PS4 version of the game is experiencing difficulties in starting, whereas the Xbox One version is facing problems with the process of downloading an installing it. Both Sony and Microsoft have acknowledged the respective problems, and have revealed the solutions for them.

PS4 owners will be disappointed to know that if their pre-loaded files are not working, they have no other option but to delete them and download them all over again. This is particularly frustrating since the game is about 40GB in size. Sony has also revealed that players should have the console’s latest firmware installed on their systems, apart from all updates for the game. It has however, stopped short of revealing what’s causing this issue.

Microsoft on the other hand has made it clear that problems on the Xbox One are arising due to the fact that a large number of people are downloading and installing the title all at once. It has provided Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare players with some instructions on how to get the game going. Also, Crave Online has some tricks of its own which are reportedly helping owners of the title’s Xbox One version get the game going on their systems.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is the newest addition to the long-running first person shooter series. This game has been released for the PS4, Xbox One, PC as well as the PS3 and the Xbox 360. It features single-player as well as multiplayer gameplay.
