Watch Kevin Spacey deliver a monologue in this Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare trailer

It’s that time of the year when the annual CoD game is unveiled by Activision, and this year’s entry named Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is being highlighted by the fact that it stars none other than Hollywood actor, Kevin Spacey. The House of Cards lead can be seen in the debut trailer of the just-unveiled game that’s slated to be released for the Xbox One (and presumably also the PS4 and PC) on November 4 this year.

‘Battlegrounds of the future’ is what the new CoD game will have its focus set on, and as can be seen in the trailer, futuristic weaponry as well as gadgets and hover bikes seem to have been instilled into it. Sledgehammer Games has for the first time been given the opportunity to develop a full-fledged Call of Duty game so it’ll be interesting to see what the studio can whip up. Platform details about the first-person shooter are still slim, but the video that you can spot in the space below shows footage captured from the Xbox One version.

This means the usual deal of timed exclusivity for DLC on Microsoft platforms is still underway. PS4 and PC are almost confirmed, but what about editions for the PS3 and the Xbox 360, and perhaps also the Wii U. Superannuation has tweeted a speculation that Transformers developer High Moon has been commissioned for creating these versions of the game.

Like we said, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will star Kevin Spacey and will be released on November 4 this year. Stay tuned for more news about it in the weeks to come.
