New Far Cry 3 updates are brewing up in Ubisoft’s stable, and amongst all things that are included in them, the ability to reset conquered Outposts for more replay value seems the most interesting one. Besides, the downloads will also be seen kicking in a new difficulty mode, dubbed Master which will be more challenging than the three current modes available as of now. And then, there are even a few multiplayer features that should see tweaks.
One of the large parts of Far Cry 3 was the capturing of enemy Outposts by using a slew of different opportunities made possible by the title’s open-ended nature. One can either go all guns blazing and take them over with strong force, or take a stealthy approach and kill every guard without anyone knowing about it. Moreover, other options like unleashing wild animals and more can also be considered by gamers.
Once liberated these Outposts act as safe houses and allow players to refill their supplies as well as help out the natives with their issues. The developer of the game has announced that a large number of community members had requested it to allow a reset option for this gameplay element. Following the new patch, those who have captured all the Outposts and have completed the main campaign will be getting the reset option.
The new Master difficulty on the other hand, will enable seasoned players to encounter more aggressive wildlife, tougher pirates and even more deadly privateers. For the multiplayer part of the game, fresh feedback choices for map user-created maps will be introduced, while beta map testing and spectating for map makers will even be dished out. Similarly, a few more such aspects to the multilplayer component can even be expected.
Known for its catchy story and numerous enjoyable gameplay scenarios, this title was released by Ubisoft for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in November last year, and has since gained a lot of popularity as well. It is essentially a first-person shooter which takes place in a completely open world environment.
