Those who’re already part of the Premium membership program have had access to the Battlefield 3 Close Quarters expansion since earlier this month, but now the DLC has been made available to all PS3 gamers who wish to purchase it individually. This content will be made available to Xbox 360 and PC gamers on June 26.
Said to be set on a highly competitive and deadly environment, the Close Quarters themed expansion pack was first doled out on June 4 to Battlefield Premium members on the PS3. Following this, on June 12, it made its way to Premium members on the Xbox 360 and PC. A total of ten new assignments are included within the DLC, along with five different dog tags.
“Starting today, you can purchase our second expansion pack Battlefield 3™: Close Quarters via PlayStation Store and the Battlefield 3 in-game store. It will release next week on June 26th for Xbox 360 and PC. Check out the launch trailer for Close Quarters below,” read a post on the official Battlefield blog.
Four new maps get infused into the game as well. And these are accompanied by two fresh game modes dubbed Conquest Domination and Gun Master. Destructive environments powered by DICE’s Frostbite 2 engine have also been implemented into the expansion pack. Gamers can currently purchase the Battlefield Premium subscription in order to get access to five DLCs planned for the game, including this one.
Battlefield 3 Close Quarters now sells on the PS Store at a price of 14.99 USD (approx. Rs. 840). And the Battlefield Premium membership is available for all platforms at 49.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,800).
