Insomniac Games Brings Resistance 3 Box Art, Logos to Light

Resistance 3 is noted to be the third chapter in Insomniac Games’ science fiction FPS series. In March, the company revealed that this installment of the franchise will support 3D graphics and the PlayStation Move sharp shooter. A post on the official PlayStation blog has now unmasked the Resistance 3 box art and logos, allowing gamers to instantly connect this title with its predecessors.

Crafted in collaboration with British artist Olly Moss, the new unveiling is said to be distinct from the typical ‘rendered hero’ box art. Featuring a graphic illustration of the Chimeran Skull portrayed along the New York skyline-like teeth, the box art depicts the journey undertaken by Joseph Capelli to New York City through the ravaged remains of the USA.

Subtly complementing the aforesaid box art is the refurbished version of the Resistance franchise logo. These new artistic strokes have been designed to flaunt the title’s core essence. The company has emphasized that the upcoming game does not unfold military warfare but paints a picture ‘about the remnants of humanity’ fighting to retain their life through disastrous situations.

As players gear up for this big battle, the next piece of news could offer them more fodder to chew. Gamers can soon experience the in-game world of the title through its demo. Packed with specially-marked Blu-Ray discs of the recently released movie, Battle: Los Angeles, the demo covers about half an hour of single player gameplay.

Players can procure specially-marked Blu-Ray copies of Battle: Los Angeles from June 14, 2011. Nonetheless, the full Resistance 3 game will stomp into the terrain on September 6, 2011.
