Battlefield 3 to Feature More Unlocks than Battlefield: Bad Company 2

A recent Battleblog post has gone on to reveal that EA’s Battlefield 3 will apparently include ‘years worth of unlocks and rewards.’ These unlocks will be featured in the form of weapons, weapons attachments, gadgets, and vehicles and are believed to be 10 times more than what the earlier game in the series offered.

Battlefield 3 Medals

The title will also include ribbons, medals and service stars displaying ‘skill, commitment and teamplay prowess,’ of players at various points in the game. The concept of rank badges is maintained from Bad Company 2 and even after hitting the high point, players would be able to work towards achieving Service Stars. These stars are supposedly meant to ‘challenge the hardcore.’

“Anytime your kill card is displayed, everyone will see exactly how experienced you are with your current equipment. The ultimate bragging right would be for a player to be awarded the rank of Colonel with 100 Service Stars attached, and to have 100 stars in all weapons, kits, and vehicles. Getting there will be a massive task – consider that a challenge,” reads the post on the blog.

Moreover, there will be various weapon load-out customizations. And the rewards on the same will depend upon how much a player uses a particular weapon and how skillfully they do so. Weapon rewards include attachments, scopes, grips, and other content.

Battlefield 3 does not release until October 25, 2011. Gamers can pre-book it currently from major retail websites. The pre-order edition has on offer various bonuses for customers and it is priced at 59.95 USD (approx Rs. 2,682) for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC versions.
