Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation Content Pack Comes to Xbox Live

The Call of Duty: Black Ops multiplayer DLC namely First Strike made its way to the Xbox Live marketplace back in February this year. Through this content, players could get their hands on five new maps that included places plucked from all across the world. Gamers can now acquire the new downloadable content pack dubbed as Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation.

Recently, we shed light on Escalation’s Call of the Dead offering. The Zombie level features famous names such as Danny Trejo, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Robert Englund, Michael Rooker and famed director George A. Romero. There is also an original music track belted out by Avenged Sevenfold, ‘Not Ready to Die.’ This dream team come together in order to battle the formidable undead. The action occurs in the creepy icy isles of Siberia.

“We took the community’s feedback to heart, and the result is five of the most creative and varied maps we have ever made,” revealed Treyarch Studio Head, Mark Lamia. “’Call of the Dead’ is an homage to the great horror films that have inspired the team and represents a deep commitment to our Zombie fans. Being able to collaborate with such talented artists and musicians was an absolute honor and thrill for everyone involved. We think the fans are going to go crazy over it!”

“We’re all huge fans of each other’s work and have been talking with Mark and his team at Treyarch about creating something special,” commented Avenged Sevenfold’s M. Shadows. “So when the opportunity came together to do ‘Not Ready to Die,’ it was a natural fit. We’re stoked to be part of ‘Call of the Dead’.”

There are four new multiplayer maps to take advantage of namely Hotel, Convoy, Zoo and Stockpile. In the Hotel map, players must battle on the roof of a Cuban luxury hotel and casino in old Havana. There is also a Zoo map that takes players to an abandoned Soviet Russian Zoo that is filled to the brim with danger. Convoy transports gamers to an ambushed U.S. military convoy while the Stockpile map offers a secluded Russian farm town that is claimed to have secret WMD facilities.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation pack bears a cost of 1,200 Microsoft Points and can be downloaded from Xbox Live Marketplace.
