This year’s E3 rolled out some big announcements including the news which underscored the true stereoscopic 3D visuals of the upcoming Crysis 2. Before the highly anticipated sequel of the popular first person shooter game hits stores, EA and Crytek have further infused zing to the game’s arrival by announcing two special editions dubbed the Crysis 2 Limited Edition and the Nano Edition. Featuring premium packaging, these editions will encompass unique unlocks which can be employed in the multiplayer Crysis 2.
The Limited Edition will boast of features such as Bonus XP, SCAR Hologram Decoy, SCAR Weapon Skin and Platinum Dog Tag. By laying their hands on this pack, players can start their campaign in this installment with adequate experience points. This will unravel access to all five preset class load-outs while the hologram image on the SCAR will enable gamers to put their rivals in a bemusing spot with the decoy. Players will have edge over others with their digital camouflage skin which also helps to personalize one of the assault rifles showcased in this chapter. The last item in the package is a unique dog tag that has been included as a collectible in the game.
Crysis fans can also pick the Nano Edition which integrates the Limited Edition in a steel case. This pack will be enclosed in a Nanosuit-styled backpack along with an 11-inch statue of the title’s hero Prophet placed on top of a New York taxi cab and a high-quality art book. It has been declared that these premium editions are limited in number and can be procured only through pre-order.
The next installment in the Crysis series will allow players to utilize the superhuman powers of the Nanosuit. Expending their powers against opponents through various locations in New York City, the game will enable gamers to be the weapon themselves with the Nanosuit. EA and Crytek have also revealed that a closed multiplayer beta of the title for Xbox 360 will unfurl later this year.
Crysis fans can pre-order for the Nano Edition which has been priced for 119.99 GBP (approx. Rs. 8,743). Crysis 2 will unfold on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in 2D and 3D formats from March 25, 2011 in Europe.
