Sony earlier revealed the Flash and Thunder DLC for the epic Killzone 2 game. Now, according to a post on the PlayStation Blog by Sebastian Downie, Producer, Guerrilla Games, the new Napalm and Cordite weapons DLC pack for the FPS game will be available later this week. The pack will feature 2 new multiplayer maps in addition to a pair of hard hitting weapons which were earlier available only through the single player campaign.
Players can now fight in the Suljeva Cliffside multiplayer map showcasing the rocky terrain bordering the Suljeva mining village. Gamers can also battle in the new Arctower Landing multiplayer map which features Blood Meridian’s Arctower defense posts.
The Napalm: VC1 Flamethrower is a weapon found in the Suljeva Cliffside map. It utilizes Helghan components and low-octane gasoline to project a lethal jet of flames. The weapon is best suited to take down heavily entrenched enemies and clear out fortified enemy bunkers.
The Cordite: Boltgun 4400 is the other deadly weapon which comes with the pack, found in the Arctower Landing map. The weapon uses Cordite to shoot out high velocity metal bolts at enemies and can be utilized to pin enemies to the walls. Also, a time-delayed explosive charge is present in every round to take care of any half dead bad guys.
Killzone 2 is developed by Guerilla Games exclusively for the PS3. The Napalm and Cordite DLC for Killzone 2 will be available on July 23, 2009 on the PlayStation Store for PS3 users, while the pricing details have not been mentioned.
