Unreal Tournament 3 Black free on Steam

Seems like fans of the Unreal Tournament can get all the action of the game from Steam. Back in March, Epic Games and Midway brought to PC users Unreal Tournament III through Steam. Now Epic Games brings Unreal Tournament 3 Black to gamers via the same Valve’s Steam digital distribution service. This weekend players can download and play the Unreal Tournament 3 Black title for free. This is to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of the original Unreal Tournament demo release.

The Unreal Tournament 3 Black includes Unreal Tournament 3 complete with the free Titan Pack. This huge bonus pack is filled with loads of goodies like scores of enhancements and brand new environments. It also comprises of the Greed and Betrayal gametypes, the Stealthbender vehicle, the Titan mutator, deployables, characters and weapons among other things.

Players can also espy more than 50 Steamworks Achievements in the Unreal Tournament 3 Black. All those gamers who possess a retail copy of the first-person shooter game may enter the retail key through a feature in the Steam client called the ‘Activate a product on Steam’. The key will be automatically updated absolutely free by the site.

Besides the internal efforts being carried out by Epic for Unreal Tournament 3, the company also assures many more exciting features. As part of the $1 Million Intel Make Something Unreal Contest loads of mod authors have fashioned new content. Some of the noteworthy entries observed by the judges are The Haunted, The Ball, Sanctum, Steam Racers, Promethus, Angels Fall First: Planetstorm and UT2D Killing Time.

Players can buy the original Unreal Tournament for $1.99 (apporx. Rs.96). Both offerings namely the Unreal Tournament 3 Black and the Unreal Deal Pack sport a 60% off starting September 27, 2009.
