Earlier, we had reported on Killzone 2, the Guerilla Games PS3 exclusive title getting it’s first downloadable content package towards the end of April. Now Sony, writing on the official PlayStation Blog reveals that the DLC will indeed be released right at the end of April. The official date set is April 30, 2009 and fans of the game will be able to download the pack from the PlayStation Network.

This DLC pack, named ”˜Steel and Titanium’ is to contain two totally new multiplayer maps with surprisingly new gameplay elements. In Wasteland Bullet, the first of the maps, players find themselves aboard the bullet train transporting soldiers and goods between Pyrrhus and Wasteland. The goal is to take control of the train, which is moving at an extremely high speed, from the enemy. Death comes instantly for those who don’t pay attention to the fast moving environment such as overhead obstacles.
In the second map Vekta Cruiser, players must defend the cruiser from a Helghast assault. The map is set indoors and has attackers around every corner. As of now, no price for this Killzone 2 content has been revealed with the blog saying the price is “TBA”.
