Two days ago, we had reported that Sony had revealed a Collector’s Edition for the shooter game for the PS3, Resistance 2. One of the other highly anticipated first-person shooters is Far Cry 2. Now publishers Ubisoft has confirmed the October released date of Far Cry 2 and announced a Collector’s Edition of the game.
The Far Cry 2 Collectors’ Edition will come in an exclusive wooden box and will include an original copy of Far Cry 2 game (of course). The package will have a limited edition Far Cry 2 t-shirt as well as an art book. It will also include a collector fifty square kilometer map along with a making-of DVD.
John Parkes is the EMEA Marketing Director at Ubisoft. He commented, “Far Cry 2 is an amazing journey that will take you to the darkest places of Africa where each player will choose how they play. This will provide gamers with an unprecedented experience in the FPS genre.”
Far Cry 2 will release in European territories on October 24, 2008 while North America gets it three days earlier on October 21, 2008. Far Cry 2 will be launched on the PS3, Xbox 360 and the PC platforms.
