Fans of the iconic SF franchise have something new to gorge their eyes on, as the limited edition Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collector’s Set was revealed by Capcom recently. Slated to enter North America on September 18, 2012, this package will comprise past Street Fighter games, a documentary video, art, music and exclusive collectibles. It will be available for both the PS3 as well as the Xbox 360.
This set has been created by Capcom as a tribute to its fans. All its items will be doled out in a specially created chest which comes complete with a certificate of authenticity. The games that will be available include Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Street Fighter III 3rd Strike Online Edition, Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition with all costume DLC and Street Fighter X Tekken including all character and Swap Costume DLC.
An exclusive two-disc Blu-Ray set comprising a documentary would also be included in the collection. This video is said to highlight the influence that the franchise has had on its fans throughout the years. The Blu-Ray set even features Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV anime movies, as well as all episodes of the Street Fighter animated series and Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie.
Other contents consist of an 8-inch light-up Ryu statue, an 11-disc soundtrack (including game music, remixes and fan-created music), a 64-page hardcover art book and a special full-size martial arts black belt which is a replica of the one Ryu wears. In celebration of Street Fighter’s 25th anniversary, Capcom will also be holding a number of tournaments in the US with cash money prizes.
The Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collector’s Set will be launched in North America on September 18 with its price tagged at 149.99 USD (approx. Rs. 8,345).
