Back in February, we reported that gamers could expect a wide roster containing 18 games to release alongside the much-awaited Nintendo 3DS. Among the array were titles such as Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D and Rayman 3D among others. With the portable system now gracing store shelves and palms of players, we see another offering in that list namely Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition unfurling for the 3DS console.
The latest iteration in the popular fighting franchise takes complete advantage of the Nintendo 3DS features and provides a life-like experience. The title also incorporates familiar gameplay mechanics and fighting style while providing an engaging offering that would appeal to both hard core players as well as novices. Other attributes include fully customizable accessible control schemes, online multiplayer features and dynamic over-the-shoulder cinematic camera.
There are 35 playable characters infused in the portable game with some well-known names being Chun-Li, Ken and Ryu as well as new warriors like Hakan and Juri. Through the StreetPass functionality of the 3DS system, players can expect a new collectible figurine battle component. Besides indulging in online multiplayer, local multiplayer is also provided with up to eight other players through Live! Channel mode. Via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service, they can indulge in Internet Match mode and send game data through Download Play mode.
The fighting title enables 3DS owners to achieve big combos with just a simple touch of a button with the new Lite control scheme. They can even avail of Pro mode which allows them to execute moves via the hardcore mode. Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition is fashioned exclusively for the 3DS console and is packed with bonus stages, various characters, new multiplayer, gameplay modes and cinematic Ultra combos.
